What good bloggers do?

In the last few days I was thinking about something we have already talked a little bit about in university last semester.. the question I had been thinking about is “What do good bloggers do?” What is it that makes their blogs so special and so exciting to read? When thinking about this, I found out that it is quite a hard question to answer, especially for me, because I am afraid I cannot consider myself one of the most successful bloggers in the world wide web. I have come to the conclusion that concerning myself it is always a bit hard for me to produce a really catchy blog entry that will totally fascinate its readers. Additionally, when I am thinking about what to write I am, at least a little bit, concerned that my writing could be boring and whether I can find a topic that is really exciting and worth to read.

That is why I had been looking through the Internet and took a closer look on some blogs. When doing so, I recognized one thing that I would now consider as a very important characteristic of a successful blog: whenever a blogger tells about something in his blog he is really fascinated about you can almost feel his excitement about it when reading the blog entry. In my opinion, it absolutely makes a great difference whether someone is just typing down things or whether he is trying to express, with all his forces, his passion about something. It is not important if the topic you are writing about is a book, an important event in your life or even the birthday celebration of your grandmother last Sunday.. whenever you show your love for something or your excitement about one thing, a blog entry surely will never be totally boring to read.

Another thing that should also not be forgotten when talking about main characteristics of a good blogger is that a good blogger will never just do “copy & past” in his blog. I can hardly imagine that a reader will be stunned about just seeing the lyrics of Lady Gaga’s latest song in your blog entry.. what could make such a blog entry much more interesting is a personal experience you had with this special song or maybe your interpretation of the lyrics. This would make your blog entry more unique and the reader would get the impression that you had been thinking about what you are writing in your blog.

All in all, it can be said that are definitely many things I can learn when reading other blogs and that someone, when writing a blog entry, should always keep in mind that one thing is really important: to show your passion about what you are telling the world in your blog!
